Yes! We deliver to the DMV area. This includes Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia. We may be able to ship furniture at an additional fee to the continental U.S.

How much does handmade furniture cost?

Handmade furniture from RMC Woodworking is typically more expensive initially than furniture purchased from a “Big Box” store and assembled by you. However, the furniture that we build will last generations by using the highest quality materials, and expert building techniques. Furniture built by RMC Woodworking is more economical in the long run since you won’t need to continue to throw away broken furniture and buy replacements.

does rmc woodworking make kitchen cabinets?

Kitchen cabinets are not our specialty and there are more experienced builders in that field. However, if you have a specific request that you’re cabinet builder could not accommodate we may be able to help with a small aspect of a kitchen cabinet installation.

How does the process of custom furniture work with RMC Woodworking?

Once you have reached out to us, we will open a discussion with you asking for details on what you’d like built. This conversation may include what type of furniture you’d like made, what styles, what material choice, and what dimensions. We will guide you through this process. With that information, we will digitally design your furniture piece. This is so that you may preview the piece before we ever start any manufacturing, ensuring that it fits your wants and needs. With this 3D digital design, we can also provide a very accurate quote for the end product. Once you have agreed on a design, and have made your initial deposit, you will be entered into our work queue. Work is completed in the order that initial payments are made. So if time is important for your project, then we encourage you to make an initial payment early to be entered into the queue.
